About the Area
Brixworth is a large rural village located in North Northamptonshire with many amenities. It has solid transport links and is a place that will certainly fit around your commitments. It provides easy access to the motorway network and other main roads, being very close to the Junctions 15/15A of the M1 and in close proximity to the A14 and the A508 which bypasses the village.
There is also a frequent bus service in Brixworth providing links to surrounding villages, Northampton, Leicester and Market Harbrough. In addition to this, Brixworth is only twenty minutes away from the Northampton train station which has trains on a regular-basis travelling all over the country. Popular lines run to London Euston, Bristol, Birmingham New Street, Rugby and more! We are also just 15 minutes away from the Park Campus of Northampton University.
Brixworth is surrounded by picturesque countryside and is home to the renowned Brixworth Country Park (also known as “Pitsford Waters”, ideal for some relaxation time by the fabulous reservoir or for your daily exercise routine, with routes designed for cyclists and walking that range from 1.3 to 14 miles, it really is spectacular.
Brixworth is an area filled with outstanding beauty, if you are looking for a scenic landscape to paint or photograph, look no further as you are sure to find that picture perfect place here in the rural Brixworth Village. Brixworth is also home to a large variety of boutique shops with a mini-supermarket, bakery, grocers, takeaway restaurants, hairdressers, clothing outlets and more!
If you have the intention to keep up with religion, Brixworth is home to the beautiful All Saints Church which is one of the oldest churches in the UK and has regular Sermons on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. People who would like to join the congregation as guests, we are informed that they are most welcome.
For those with car interests, Brixworth is home to the Mercedes-Benz High-Power Engine Development Centre and is ideally located for Silverstone race course. Other places of interest include the three village pubs in Brixworth which all have a true old-country feel and the Old-Post House Restaurant.
